Citizenlink
Government initiative
Citizenlink (Burgerlink) is an initiative of the Dutch Government to improve the performance of the public sector by involving citizens. To that end Citizenlink promotes quality standards, measures citizen satisfaction and stimulates eParticipation. Citizenlink runs from 2008-2010 as part of ICTU, the Dutch implementation organisation for ICT and government.
Improving government service
Every government organisation is responsible for the quality of their own service. Only by involving citizens, democracy and the service of the government can be improved.
3 main tasks:
- Improving the quality of service by stimulating the use of the e-Citizen Charter and Citizen Charter.
- Measuring the citizen satisfaction by implementing a nationwide about the settlement of life events and developing a local application of this.
- The eParticipation award and the development of eParticipation instruments are tools that are used to involve citizens by the improvement of the public service, public administration and the social cohesion.
